Android Users face many different Error in thier Smartphones. We are going to discuss about one of the common error today. Users see a pop up box which says "Unfortunately the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped". Hundreds of Android users see this error daily. so today we will be discussing how to solve this error.

Unfortunately the Process com.google.process.gapps has stoppedGapps stands for Google apps. There is some problem in Google apps and so you are seeing this error on your smartphone.

Method 1: Clearing Caches.


So first of all we will be clearing Caches of few Apps which is fairly an easy task. Well we are sharing the steps to clear cache and also the apps that you need to clear the cache.
  • If a specific app is showing you pop up with this error then you will have to to clear the cache for that app first and see if you can get rid of the error.
  • Go to Settings > Apps > Search for the app that showed you the error pop up > Click on it and then Clear the cache.
  • Now see if this helps you. If not then do not worry because we have some extra steps. Now you need to Clear Cache of Google Related apps. Meaning you have to perform the same above steps and Clear Caches for Google Play store, Google Services and Google Framework.
After Clearing Cache & Data for all the above listed apps, its now time to Reboot your device.
This should generally help you to get rid of Process com.google.process.gapps has stopped error But if this doesn't solve your problem then read Method #2.

Method 2: Removing your Google account.

There is a possibility that you google account is creating this Process com.google.process.gapps has stopped issue, so simply goto Settings > Accounts > Remove your Google account.

Now Reboot your Phone and again go to Settings > accounts and Add the same account.

Method 3: Uninstalling App.

As said above if you get this error pop up in a particular app only then you need to uninstall the app and then reinstall again.

Otherwise Simply Uninstall Google Play store and reinstall it again. This should help you to fix the error.

But make sure you download Google Play store apk from trusted sources only.

Method 4: Uninstall Google Play Store Updates.

There are Chances that Recently Updated Play Store Is conflicting with your device and you are presented with Process com.google.process.gapps has stopped error popup every now and then.

So if all the above methods fails, then you might want to try and uninstall play store updates. To do so, go to Settings > Apps > Google Play store and tap on Uninstall updates.

Now Reboot your phone and see if the problem is still or gone for good.
